A lot of times in sports folks are rooting for the players not the teams.

I would argue most black folks rooting for simone in swimming are rooting for her cause she a sista not cause she wears a USA jersey.

Second of all if black folks can't root for a player or a team that wears team USA shouldn't they also not root for any professional team in the USA or college team that ain't an HBCU?

I mean all professional owners are tied to government, politicians and multinational companies. That is not even mentioning that leagues were creating for owners who had mob ties to wash their money.
