You came for me dude. So I did the same. :manny:
Smarter people should know to put out a candidate with charisma, know to use emotional manipulation, etc.. Unless they aren't smarter? :francis:
And really are the Dems smarter and less willing to do nefarious shyt? I don't think so.

I'm not really sure what's so hard to understand about "Republican tactics won't work for Democrats because their voter base is more diverse".

Dems aren't smarter than Republicans, at least at campaigning. But they are generally more idealistic and less willing to resort to underhanded tactics. Hell, look at Obama and Trump.

But said, if you're set on carrying water for Republicans, do you. :hubie:

The bolded is really my main point.
But what what happened in the primary Hillary v Bernie illustrates that yes, they are willing to resort to underhanded tactics. :usure:
Fukk Republicans, I'm just not into acting like we're better when we lose mainly because our politicians are bought and corrupt.

@jayshiggs doesn't realize that's exactly what he's doing by constantly complaining about Democrats.:bpfacepalm:

Dude has a million suggestions for what Dems should do, but in the face of the GOP gerrymandering and restricting voting along racial lines, encouraging racists to run for public office, and cutting programs that help low income Americans, he's like "Meh:yeshrug:no reason to discuss this.":manny:

And Republican politicians aren't? :gucci:

Dems lose mainly because they allowed Republicans to gerrymander them into oblivion, and because the Democratic base doesn't turn out for midterms. They consistently get more votes overall.

I'm not a big fan of Clinton but acting like everything wrong with politics is because of her and nothing else is silly.

"Fake News" and intentionally false stories have FAR more distribution on the right than on the left. You look at groups who spread fake news for purely financial reasons, they have been targeting Trump groups far, far more often than moderate, libertarian, or liberal groups. You simply make more money spread fake news among Trump supporters than you will anywhere else, because they buy it more. That ain't a sign of intelligence.

Normally I don't think either party has any moral advantages, but in recent history the Republicans have certainly become an extra level of nasty. And yes, the Democrats really are less willing to do nefarious shyt than Trump is. Even most other Republicans were. You gotta be blind not to see that.

Trump has been a public performer for decades now. He had far more charisma than anyone the Democrats were throwing up (just like Obama, despite relative lack of experience, was far more charismatic than any Republican he faced.)

And as I already mentioned, the fact that 90% of Republicans are White and the fact that their policies disproportionately favor the wealthy and the business community gives them far more access to money and power than the party for whom half of its membership is non-White. Do White people have more power and money because they're smarter?

The system is set up against minorities, and that means to a degree it's set up against Democrats. Minorities are far more likely to have difficulty voting than White people, and they end up with lower voting rates as a result. And even WITH their lower voting rates, Democrats have still won 6 of the last 7 popular elections for president....yet we somehow have a situation where they are out of power in every branch of government, in part because the electoral system (and thus the Presidency and Congress, and thus the courts) are rigged in favor of red states.

Those are all facts. I have a hard time seeing how you can dismiss them just because you want to push this "Republicans are smarter" narrative.

:ohhh:I believe all but 15 governor seats belong to the GoP… you think they gerrymandered majority of those along with the house and Senate?
:ehh:Interesting... and definitely not impossible.

:manny:But I disagree and think the refusal to accept that 'this is america' is hurting the Dems.

Non presidential year voting in the past has always killed democrats. This looks to be a change now.

I remember reading a political piece after Trump won and the key takeaway was that while Democrats have spend the last 40 years focused on policy, think tanks and progress in general, republicans have been focused on how to win elections.

I think between gerrymandering, allowing the tea party to become the mainstream Republicans and generally appealing to people of middling intelligence, they have succeeded in an unfathomable manner.

Contrary to popular believe, there used to be a moderate, established Republican caucus that wasn't a bunch of them scared, racist bigots. They cared more about smaller government and a balanced budget more than anything, and in principle, there is no reason why moderate liberals wouldn't be able to get behind some of that.

Moderate in tone does not mean they were anti-racists.

Statistically there are more and more Dem0crats.......it's why "the border" is so important, why "gerrymandering" is important and why these "voting rights" laws are being implemented.

Their voters Slowly becoming a minority in the country. It's why they can be married to Trump as a Trojan Horse vehicle/Weapon because they can change as many laws as possible and get as many long term judges through as they can to try to maintain power as a minority.

shyt is blatant but between sports, music, reality TV, video games etc the typical American just wakes up in a fukked up state not asking how they got there.

Their plan is to use this to either stop the future or slow it down as long as possible.
