Tariq's son IS very light! Along side his half-breed broad. So much for black power. :mjlol:

Umm...wtf...so what? You can't be serious...so a light skinned person isn't black anymore? Shut the fukk up.

I respect Tariq as he delivers a no nonsense message that the common man can relate to. The issue with many black empowerment schools of thought is that they come off as too extreme and animated. Like on some "In order to save black people you gotta dress like an egyptian" and crap.

My only issue as of late, is that while Tariq is a normal man and we all have flaws, he gets TOO involved with obvious agents trying to create mischief to deflect attention from real issues. So While its good to have fun, a convo about something real will be deflected because he has to spend 30 min trying to roast someone. There is a time and place for things, but when you are really tying to make moves you don't have time to dedicate as much time as he does to non factors. The man has a weekly segment and t shirts dedicated to roasting bum Tommy, but Tommy is suppose to be a non important c00n?

Attacking the messenger doesn't invalidate or make wrong the message. It doesn't matter if Tariq is a serial killer; his pro-black rants on the side are still thoughtful and poignant. It's like you people don't understand non-sequitor fallacy. :dead:

I agree with Tariq on a number of topics...he's actually one of the few self-appointed speakers for Black Men that I tend to agree with....but when he gets on his "white supremacy, they owe us" spiel...I just :what::snoop:

He has an insane amount of high-profile media exposure for somebody who supposedly specifically caters to a select demographic (black people, more specifically black men). Why would mainstream media give that much attention to somebody who's solely about uplifting black people/macking black women?

Moreover, you notice how he is all-too-cautious when it comes to criticizing certain black celebrities (i.e., Oprah, Tyler Perry) or even Jews in control of Hollywood? It shows he knows not to ruffle people's feathers or else he'll be taken out.

I get what you are saying. At the same time I would think that it is highly unlikely though. He first got onto the spotlight by giving not just black men but men in general a way of dealing with women and a deeper understanding of how interactions between the sexes work. His books made some money (along with gaining exposure through podcasts and working through the internet) and THEN he started his whole white supremacy rhetoric.

Also, I think he wants to really spread information (and of course make money doing so) but at the same time not be labeled a "leader" of a movement. I think it would be bad for him to be labeled a "leader" because that would sign him up for certain responsibilities/stipulations that he should not be responsible for. :manny:.

The point is to gain understanding and be able to uplift and maintain a community. Not criticize what another group/person is doing. At least that is what I think his perspective is.
