I like Tariq generally. Although, if you listen to him closely and long enough, you see that he contradicts himself at times. And I think he's low-key backed by Hollywood's/the media's elite. Moreover, his "beef" with Tommy Sotomayor makes them both look stupid. I would never consider him a leader in the black community. If that's the case and he is one, then the black community is in even worse shape than I thought. And that would be saying a lot.

With all that said, he drops gems and forces you to think and be extra skeptical of certain behaviors and movements. I certainly can appreciate that about him. Moreover, he's funny as hell, especially when dealing with certain callers and interviewees. The Hidden Colors franchise is also a good look.

HAs went beyond positive work - by actually producing video production that opens up convo about all sorts of historical and modern topics.

Has made the unaware , aware --- this is the number one reason i fukk w dude. Sure , he may not be able to do anything for you... sure some people may not like him............. We we do have an ignorant masses and his videos and material... open those peoples minds up with his delivery and platform.

I think Tareeq Nasheed is just a talking head but he does bring up a lot of legitimate points regarding the Black community, though I think he goes in a little to hard on women but it does spur discussion and a higher train of thought, and that has merit.

What exactly makes you think that?

He has an insane amount of high-profile media exposure for somebody who supposedly specifically caters to a select demographic (black people, more specifically black men). Why would mainstream media give that much attention to somebody who's solely about uplifting black people/macking black women?

Moreover, you notice how he is all-too-cautious when it comes to criticizing certain black celebrities (i.e., Oprah, Tyler Perry) or even Jews in control of Hollywood? It shows he knows not to ruffle people's feathers or else he'll be taken out.
