They're an all time great team but their rotations were somewhat limited. KC ran his starters into the ground and it caught up in '87 and '88.
DJ would've guarded Jordan. He may go off but if they funnel him the right way and stop him from passing then Bird/McHale/etc take care of the rest.
Walton was still one of the best centers on a per minute basis. Bird's peak was all time great, not many frontcourts match up all that well with McHale/Parish, and Ainge/Wedman/Sichting were good shooters. They match up well with anyone even if their rotation was effectively 9 guys.
