-1st seed in the East (Which matters)
-ECF-bound
-Destroying the Atlanta Hawks and making Trae Young look absolutely pedestrian
-Mollywhopping the 76ers and completely choking the life out of them to the point where the Sixer fans were booing their team on their home floor.
-Butler being, arguably, the most consistent and efficient superstar in the entire goddamn playoffs so far. Has been absolutely elite on offense and defense.

So is it more likely that the lockdown season, the one with the extremely shortened off-season and had COVID protocols destroying entire lineups at random throughout the entire season, was the fluke season?

Especially considering the Heat are one of the two teams that had the absolute shortest off-season due to playing in the finals? That the Bucks might have been a better team but the Heat were running on fumes due to all those extenuating circumstances?

I dunno, Coli geniuses, y’all tell me what you think.

Let’s start the discussion.
What happened last year

This does kinda prove last year was the anomaly, not the bubble run...

Like GS though they've benefitted thus far from luck of the draw, they'll be pushed for real in the ECF. If Lowry is limited it's gonna be really hard to see them winning, but returning to The Final Four is validation enough that Miami is a real team and fatigue fukked them up last year...

No point debating this until the next round.

We're gonna see one way or another against the Bucks or Celtics because it's their first real test.

Right now, Bucks/Celtics is looking like the real NBA finals.

They lost in the 1st round, to the eventual NBA champions, after having one of the shortest off seasons in NBA history during an injury-filled, COVID-riddled lockdown season.

What team doesn’t have new additions? The core of the Heat during the bubble run (Jimmy, Herro, Bam, and Robinson) are still present on the team but if you want to act like the two undrafted starters in Gabe Vincent and Max Strus are the new additions of a lifetime that completely revitalizes the team then more power to you.

So what makes last year the actual Heat but the bubble run/this year the fraud run?

Clint Capela literally got hurt in the Play-In Game against CLE right before the MIA series.

Joel broke his face in the last game of the TOR series.

I'm not saying Miami wouldn't have still beat them, I'm saying both those teams had to go against the Heat with a different gameplan from what they've done all year.

this.

im sorry but there is nothing special about what the heat have done thus far. i still don't think jimmy butler is that guy. the teams he has played so far have no defense. his broke outside jumper will eventually come into play against boston or mil.

if he proves me wrong i'll tip my hat and apologize, but until then, im not impressed.

Because nikkas don’t want to admit they’re wrong and slept on them ..That’s all it is .

Let's be reality most of you didn't see the Heat as legit contenders this year. To sit there with a straight face and say that making it to the ECF isn't impressive is just hate and I don't even like the Heat. Hell even last year they lost to the eventual Champions.

lost to the eventual champs ? werent they SWEPT ? lol

they are saying it isn't impressive due to circumstances. the other two teams were not at full strength. sixers were 2-2 with embiid probably at 50-60%... and he's not just some guy he is an MVP caliber player. if hes healthy he is easily the best player in the series. it makes a huge difference.

Again, they had the shortest off-season in league history due to the Bubble and COVID + shortened lockdown season was causing havoc throughout the entire season, across the league. The Heat were drained and tired last year.

The Sixers were 2-2 because roleplayers shot better at home. The Heat were getting all the looks they wanted and looks that they hit all series long that just weren’t falling. Lowry, their starting PG, also tried to come back despite being injured and the offense struggled tremendously because he was crippled. The Heat benched Lowry and we destroyed the 76ers.

The next game where the Heat shot over 20% from 3 led to one of the biggest blowouts in the entire playoffs and then the Heat straight up choked the 76ers out, on their home court.

The Heat haven’t been at full strength either and we have still been dismantling all the other teams in front of us.
