Again, they had the shortest off-season in league history due to the Bubble and COVID + shortened lockdown season was causing havoc throughout the entire season, across the league. The Heat were drained and tired last year.

The Sixers were 2-2 because roleplayers shot better at home. The Heat were getting all the looks they wanted and looks that they hit all series long that just weren’t falling. Lowry, their starting PG, also tried to come back despite being injured and the offense struggled tremendously because he was crippled. The Heat benched Lowry and we destroyed the 76ers.

The next game where the Heat shot over 20% from 3 led to one of the biggest blowouts in the entire playoffs and then the Heat straight up choked the 76ers out, on their home court.

The Heat haven’t been at full strength either and we have still been dismantling all the other teams in front of us.

You act like the heat were under different circumstances than every other team.

The role players shot better at home? No sh!t sherlock thats pretty much every team in every series. The sixers had tons of open looks also. They didnt make them. Thats why the biggest factor is embiid not being healthy. He is not a role player hes a star and his game travels. He also had the biggest mismatch advantage because the heat are small up front. He is flat out the best player in the series when healthy.

Now what’s the excuse?

No point debating this until the next round.

We're gonna see one way or another against the Bucks or Celtics because it's their first real test.

Right now, Bucks/Celtics is looking like the real NBA finals.

Oh word? The Real NBA finals, huh?

AFTER GM 4 EVERYONE
SAID EMBIID BEING BACK
WAS THE DIFFERENCE.

THEN THEY LOSE 2 IN A ROW
AND EMBIID "WASNT THE SAME."

Embiid was playing very hurt.

Even when he came back, his first game back he had a terrible game and terrible stat line.

He definitely made a difference because we had no depth on account of Rivers wanting to sign DAJ and Millsap.

But he was not playing well because of injury

I still don't think they were frauds, the celtics are just a better team at this point

Celtics are the better team, but the Heat are embarrassing themselves. They're showing that they had no business making is this far. All their main players are scared to shoot the ball. I had high hopes for them this season too but they've only proven they ain't shyt.

To say the heat had no business making it this far is a bit too harsh in my opinion, they were the no 1 seed in the east with 53 teams which they rightfully earned , aside from the suns I would argue they were the best team in the entire league. I just think they need one or two more pieces/replacements. Also getting to the WCF and losing in 6 or 7 games is no shame

And they were up 2-1 in the ECF until their #2 scorer got knocked out.

OP's point still looks pretty valid.

It's not the fact that they're losing - it's how they're losing.

It's not harsh to say they have no right making it to the ECF when in pivotal games all their main players don't want to shoot the ball. At least go down shooting like the Mavs are. Show some fight. Some some hunger. There's none of that there. Their players off their bench are showing they want it more than the starters do.
