Dog, his handles are fukking trash, doesn't have a quick first step to get by defenders and he doesn't really finish well around the rim.

the knicks have no choice but to pay JR. they are too capped out to sign a FA to replace him, so it's either to overpay him or let him walk for nothing and thus take a step backwards.
The most we'll be able to pay him is a little over 5M. That's hardly overpaying.
Jr is fine as lets say your 4th option overall(1st option off the bench) but when you ask him to be your second option especially in the playoffs when defenses get better that aint gonna work. He's far too inconsistent.
