Are the Lox overrated?

People know Push bro. And people want that new Clipse album. Maybe not 20 years old but we aren't talking about them anyways.

I'm a huge Lox fan but some of the Clipse slander in here is wild.

Clipse does not have better albums than LOX, they have no songs with Premier, Just Blaze, Dre and other classic producers like that. These are just features.

They are but that’s all they really worked with. LOX’s catalog is extensive. Way too many classic collabs too. Not many groups touching these songs.

Their first two albums were fully produced by Neptunes though and they only have 3 albums. And their 3rd album was half Neptunes beats. Not a lot of chances to work with other producers. Many of their loosies are also Neptunes produced. They rhymed on a lot of RZA and Timbo beats on their reup gang mixtapes.

That shouldn’t really be held against them. They have classic producers and they trust them.

How are the Lox overrated? I never once seen them placed in the same regard as groups like the Wu, Mobb Deep, Tribe, Outkast or even 8ball and MJG
