Are the Majority of Movie Theaters doing the assigned seating BS?

I’m buying child tickets to all the movies

That's the way you life hack your money back on the theaters. Minus the convenience fee, I still end up saving like six bucks per family movie viewing when the fam and I hit up the IMAX with online ticketing and assigned seating.

The ONLY real caveat to assigned seating is that you have no idea whom your going to be sitting around when you get them (really the same as ordinary booth purchasing) and since it's your assigned seat, you can't really move away fukking movie retards that bring in babies, make obnoxious noise/smell or can't control their legs from kicking the back of ya chair. Picking back row seats alleviates the latter problem, but the true optimal viewing seats is like three rows down from the very back (K aisle in Real IMAX) and smack dab in the middle of the aisle.

You jusy gotta choose your concessions, ultimately.

All I have to do is open up my local theatres app pick my seat and pay. Takes about 1 minute. It’s less work then any other way

I didn't have the app when we went to horace harding and used the kiosk... we got seated in the front row and all the back seats was taken. worse experience ever... I'd rather just go to a regular movie theater first come first served... I go get my ticket from the kiosk and walk right in & find a seat...

Nah the kids tickets justu works breh. If anything, for group tickets, just buy one adult ticket and all the rest kid tickets or even senior citizen ones. Works every time. The ones that may be most suspicious are the ones that you pick the tickets up from, but the actual ushers that tear the tickets either don't look or don't care.

why are people so befuddled by assigned seats? I swear 7/10 times there is an issue, either people are in our seats, or people are in the wrong seats which causes us to be in the incorrect seats. I just saw infinity war again and my seat was in the middle of the row, someone on the far left end was sitting one seat over causing everyone to be in the wrong seat. It was an older white dude with his grandkids, he said "Pardon me, might you be in the wrong seat?" I pulled out my ticket to check, turns out I was in seat 12 when my ticket is seat 13. I said "Someone down there is probably in the wrong seat causing everyone else to be a seat off" neither him or the kid working at the theater trying to help listened to me so I just continued to watch previews while they were going around in circles trying to figure it out. Their conclusion just kept coming back to me and my pops were in the wrong seats instead of going down the row and making the people at the end of the row move over one seat so that me and pops could move over. My dad had to tell them, "Well, make them move then.." shyt drives me insane why is it so difficult
