The difference here is the trains where you can go through the doors are still a bit dangerous. Many people have falling in between the cars and killed. This train has a gangway. So now that eliminates the the likelihood of someone falling in between a car and crushed to death

New York has the filthiest subway on the planet hands down. Johannesburg's Gautrain and the New Delhi metro (which I've both used) are way cleaner and safer.
