New York has the filthiest subway on the planet hands down. Johannesburg's Gautrain and the New Delhi metro (which I've both used) are way cleaner and safer.

recently used the Colombian metro in Medellin. Puts nyc to shame

I'm currently in Philadelphia and can emphatically say that statement isn't true

You haven’t traveled enough. Like the poster above said Philly is worse and the underground stations in Chicago I went to last weekend weren’t any different. I was on the red line.
