Are there Album Cuts that got Radio Play even though they weren't singles?

This song was so crazy. I feel like we really wouldn't know Bag Lady without it.

And truthfully I don't know which came first. :heh:

Back in the day, Questlove was complaining about Erykah not letting them do the remix, and paying all that extra money for the sample.

His argument was "They could have made it as crunk as the original"

The whole get rich or die trying and unmixed 50 freestyles was getting regular burn on hot 97 in 02-03. Never seen no shyt like that

Right! In fact it was so bad this was the number 1 requested song on Angie’s show multiple times.

For those that don’t know Angie’s on air spot was practically The God Hour aside from the 6am - 10am slot

Never before
Never since

Haha. I was already in school when this dropped.

So back in the 90's, when I first started DJ'ing, I remember going to Sharpstown Mall (RIP)

Ran into a cat that was selling DJ Screw Tapes from a kiosk.

Me - WTF is this?
Potna - "It's what they smoke wet to"

Me and my boys had all these debates
  • "I think he just tightens the screws on the cassette tapes.." (c) Me
  • "He's just playing turning the pitch all the way down"
  • "Naw, he's using a 4 track"
DJ'ing put me on to the fact that if an album was really popular, you could play the deep cuts at a club. I never got a chance to try

or

I'd put money on it that these would rock the house tho.
