Thread just made me realize that my barber's moving to a different state in the fall and I've been going to him for at least a decade.

Anyone have tips on finding a new barber? I usually only get low cut caesars or 2 on top fades. so I'm assuming most barbers can do that.
Pretty simple. I know you got a homeboy who keeps a fresh cut. Well ask them who cuts their hair and there you have it.

The lonely barber in the shop I go to must know he trash. You'll see him over there watching movies on his iPad in the chair. When I first came to the shop he cut my hair...took over an hour. No joke. I went from hype that I was off early on a Friday to...nikka it's dark outside now and I'm tired. Wtf

Sitting in a shop full of customers waiting but no-one willing to give them a shot?

I was just at a barbershop and I swear the place was full and I mean FULL. Every other Barber has about 3 or 4 customers waiting and this new Barber is sitting there looking all sad in his own chair. I fukked around and made eye contact with homie and he nodded like "gimme a shot breh" :to:. But out of loyalty for my barber I gave him the :whoa: kinda look like "nah breh I'm good" :rudy:

Which part in NY? Because definitely not where I live. This whole "Dominicans taking over the barber scene from blacks in NY" is new to me...

Queens & the western part of Nassau county.

I'm not sure how Dominican barbers in the bronx cut tho

Correct.

If all else fails just find a Dominican barber , especially since you're in the tri state area.

I live in a county right outside NYC and it has a sizable Dominican population, though I never heard of Dominican barbers posing a threat to black barbers when it comes to black customers. Heard about Dominican salons vs black salons, but not barbers.

I'll wait all day for my barber

I never got how dudes don't want to wait in the barbershop....the conversation is basically a real life TLR.

I feel you but sometimes I got things to do.
