Are we too good on the Coli to admit that Eminem's "My Name Is" is a classic track?

I was listening to Kriss Kross at that age

This is why the whole "I grew up" shyt doesn't compute with me because I was damn near grown when Em came out, my musical tastes were pretty much accounted for.

He killed that shyt.

And like I said it tied in perfectly to the concept of the album with was a play on The Truman Show where the main character gains a level of self awareness about the media and how he's being used within it.

Which is why I think the eminem show is his best album. That goes over a lot of people's heads. Eminem show was ems perfection.

College radio stations were the shyt back then. I first heard Brain Damage on a UCONN station then had the Just Don't give a fukk single. I was an instant fan, then this dropped and had me dying. No one is fukking with slim shady em, his 98-2000 catalog is legendary and matched be very few MCs.

Like others I thought it was a paradoy. Like bloodhound gang type shyt (can't believe I remembered the name). I thought he wasn't a serious rapper. My brother, who's 6 years older than me, and his friends kept talking about the album. After a while I checked it out. shyt was piff. :banderas: Em was a serious mc
