If the CIA created the "hippies" and other personality profile creations, got their hands on films, music and other entertainment and operate mostly in this country, then you better believe that a lot of shyt isnt what it is. "Turning pro" by Steven pressfield. All about pursuing your passion and being militant about it. Being fearless. His book "the war of art" is great too.

"Autobiography of Malcolm x". Because if you're going to model yourself after anybody, it should be Malcom.
