It's far too early to call her a failure. It's only her 2nd year on the circuit, and she didn't even race a full season on the top circuit last year. Takes years for some drivers to get acclimated to these race tracks.

It's annoying how white people can like whatever but when a black person likes racing it's shocking. When a black person likes hockey it's shocking.

I'm white and i live in a hick town and i get made fun of all the time for basketball being my favourite sport.

she's not failing. If you know nothing about racing, don't make threads about it.

It's not the entry barriers are too high, it's that you're piloting a missile and the type of skill it takes far exceeds what Nascar or rally have to offer.

F1 - Germany 2012 - Onboard Best Moments - YouTube

The cars are faster and harder to drive, all while being on much more difficult courses. Pastrana would die in one :manny:

No he wouldn't, he'd just be slow. F1 cars are a lot more driveable than you think, they have to be in order for them to be raced safely. There's a reason why kids coming out of the junior categories can hop into one of those and lap within tenths of a second of the regular drivers. You're also underrating Nascar driver skill, look at Juan Pablo Montoya. He was a very fast driver in F1, won several races, and was competitive against Michael Schumacher for years. Now he's not really doing much in Nascar, he's run at the front, and finished in the top 3, but the translation of success hasn't been there. It's a different driving dynamic, both are difficult at the highest level.

im not happy to see her failing...but im annoyed she still has a shot out there...give another bish a shot at winning a race, shes obviously not cut out for NASCAR and she attention whores out there like no other...theres gotta be a better bish to do it than her...right? its all a money making ploy anyways tho..

The bolded part is bullshyt. This is what, her first full year in Cup? This is some ignorant stupidity.

I will give her this, that she must have SOME racing talent. I just don't like how she came in with some entitled attitude, like nikkas had to fall back cause she in the building. And then you can't be talking about how you "not just another pretty face" or something to that effect, and that you want to be respected for your driving, but then five minutes later be in FHM or some other men's magazine showing off what you think resembles a body, or whoring yourself out in godaddy.com commercials. I wish Earnhardt Sr. was still around; that nikka would put her in the fence without hesitation like :birdman: If Terry Labonte could get that work, you know he wouldn't have cared about cute lil Danica:

Yup. I have no doubt that Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, or Jimmie Johnson could have become very good drivers in F1 had they come up through those ranks. Gordon swapping cars with Montoya was what got Montoya started on his NASCAR trip anyway. Gordon wasn't far off the pace his first time in the car.

she didnt even really make noise in the nationwide series so why is she getting push for the sprint cup?:usure: in nationwide full season she finished 10th in points and best finish was 8th (the year before her best finish was 19th)...so other than her being female why was she pushed in sprint cup?

she is not cut out for stock car racing

Daytona 500 2013: Record-Breaking Weekend Only Beginning for Danica Patrick | Bleacher Report
How do you figure?
From the world records she is setting OR from the world records she is breaking?
Tell me more about "SOME racing talent." -_-

SOME racing talent as in her career before NASCAR. No mention of record setting or record breaking. SOME racing talent as she was able to race in the middle of the pack in Indy car and not get someone killed, and actually being able to lead a lap, being somewhat competitive in the process. The article you posted made my point; she said herself that she benefited from being in the position of racing up front all day. She wasn't doing anything outstanding, didn't have to worry about trying to pass anyone. Daytona, the real talented nikkas can fall to the back of the pack, put on their :birdman: face and move up front like everything is sweet. All without wrecking themselves or someone else, especially if they're being blocked at 200 mph. She also has the benefit of real good equipment, the byproduct of racing for a team with guap to spend, which is half the battle and helps her to stay up front.

$$$$, my nikka...

NASCAR has seen attendance fall off at tracks across the country. A lot of the traditional fans have been staying away since they feel that NASCAR is abandoning their roots (read: rednecks) and selling out for dough. Like it or not, Danica is popular and will move merchandise. The only one who might trump her in popularity is Earnhardt Jr. Look at Jimmie Johnson; the nikka has won stayed winning the Sprint Cup, and outside of his Lowe's commercials, nobody really knows who he is, aside from NASCAR enthusiasts. Danica is a crossover star, which always means $$$$. An average broad who has no idea about car racing might be inclined to buy something NASCAR related because Danica pushes it.

Should she be in the position that she's in? I don't think so. She needed another year or two of seasoning in Nationwide before jumping to the big show. Like Chris Rock said, "I'm not saying they shoulda did it... But I understand" :manny:
