What does going overseas accomplish? I don't understand.
U seem depressed. Not gettin no hoes… seem lonely and unappreciative of life. Not only will you get some hoes, you might meet ppl and/or have experiences that give you a new outlook on life… shyt at this point what do you have to lose :yeshrug:

I don't want to meet anyone. I don't have friends. They had nothing of value.

I'll get rejected by all the women over there like I do here for being a short ugly midget. No thanks.

Who cares? Just go see shyt like the great wall or the pyramids.
I can see that on TV. Never seen something on TV and went oh I need to see that in person. Also, never got excited about seeing anything in person. To me, its all the same experience.

I know a lil Spanish, I'm actually going to start learning it again this year, guess that counts as a New Years resolution for 2025

im definitely happy that i made it into my 40s...sometimes i can't believe i am in my 40s..it def hits whenever a birthday comes for somebody i knew that is no longer here in the physical

for the most part, ppl say i dont look my age although my beard in the last 12 months has the salt and pepper look going pretty hard lol...hair up top it still grows and still jet black...no greys there

physically im def starting to deal with the effects of years of dedication to physical excellence..the injuries i dealt with in the 2nd half of 2024 were just ridiculous...but i have no trouble getting women and financially im in a good place...all positive things

I think every kid does the 'what do you want to be when you get older' thing.

I can say, professionally, watching it all manifest itself out, I've gone way beyond my wildest dreams. I grew up simply wanting to follow my mom working at Ford and for a while, doing exactly that to having two bachelor degrees, an MBA, became a CPA and as the controller at my job, being prepared to be the next CFO when the current one retires next year. In that respect, I am happy to get older. I was once a black son to a single parent mom in inner city Detroit. A lot of times, my story isn't written like mine is currently being written so we are going to do right so I can put on for all the younger people in my family to show that 'getting it' can be done.

Family wise, I'm married, all of my kids are healthy. Relationship with the wife has its ups and downs but we keep ticking. Like today, I'm going to a basketball tournament because our 10 year old son has two games today. I cherish these moments because they won't last forever. I wish I could bottle up and crystallize these times forever. One of the reasons I record every game. I'm at every practice, every training session. I have another kid in theater, he does amazing with that so watching them get better is cool too. Getting older with my wife is something enjoyable as well. Watching us grow together and not apart is great.

Admittedly, I do think about my mortality a lot. The sands of time and where I am in it. Like others, I lament the fact that there is never enough time in the day and being the controller, I have a lot of responsibility. I have to work today after my son's games because I have to close these books on Monday. I want to draw and play video games but I sought this life so I can't complain about it though. I've been a natural leader my whole life and it's shown up in the workplace.

This is a great topic and made me think for a second.

I feel better at 42 then i did at 32. The more u learn about taking care of your body and health the more alive u feel when u put it into practice. So my answer is a resounding yes

No, fck this sht. :camby:

Science better hurry up with anti-aging drugs and cyborg treatments . I know it may sound crazy, but I'm pretty sure one or both of these things will be reality before I'm 70, but I'm not sure which one comes first.:patrice:

On the wonder drug front, I recall Alzheimer's being fatal condition, with no treatments whatsoever a decade ago, and now they actually have meds for it and a half a dozen more under fda review. And this is only Alzheimer's, not the other aging ailments that now have solutions through gene therapies, drugs, and enzymes.

On the cyborg front , it's insane the stuff the govt is funding. In grad school, my alma mater had a crap ton of darpa contracts on artificial eyes, robotic spine supports, artificial ear drums, mind controlled roboprosthetics, etc ; so from the tech side I totally see it coming. Some of them are coming to market. For example, the Indian dude in the cubicle next to me was working on software for artificial eyes and his work was bought by Facebook's oculus department and is currently in review. So All the age ailments from mobility issues, to failing senses will be a thing of the past if these mechanical solutions are fleshed out.

@CopiousX how old are you right now?
