I'm just tryna see where the road takes me. I hangout with older artists when I can and soak up game and see that with age our work changes and evolve, so I get to experience that for how ever long the Baron Samedi allows me. But I'm enjoying meeting beautiful women of my time, even if we may never meet @Kasgoinjail :wow:

Being 100% honest, no, this is ass.

My life financially and family-wise is doing great. I’m very fortunate for that.

I’m aging great and I’m also fortunate for that.

Quite simply: getting old sucks.

I simply wish I knew these lessons when I was younger, that’s all.

Time is too valuable and I’d have loved more of it in our younger days. I don’t wish to not die, but I wish we biologically stayed in our early 20’s: quicker brain, peak physical shape, younger appearance/fewer blemishes, had more leeway with your health, etc. while we learned more lessons.

It’s lame we only get a few years living in our pure peak biologically. Companies are paying people $400k just because they can do the job and they’re young. Netflix gives nearly $300k internships to college kids then get the bag thrown at them once they graduate. When you get older you got to jump through hoops for that because people think you’re ‘slower’.

Some people don't make it. A lot of young crash test dummies disappear. I for one am glad to be getting older since it's better than the alternative. How about the rest of the coli?
No, fck this sht. :camby:

Science better hurry up with anti-aging drugs and cyborg treatments . I know it may sound crazy, but I'm pretty sure one or both of these things will be reality before I'm 70, but I'm not sure which one comes first.:patrice:

On the wonder drug front, I recall Alzheimer's being fatal condition, with no treatments whatsoever a decade ago, and now they actually have meds for it and a half a dozen more under fda review. And this is only Alzheimer's, not the other aging ailments that now have solutions through gene therapies, drugs, and enzymes.

On the cyborg front , it's insane the stuff the govt is funding. In grad school, my alma mater had a crap ton of darpa contracts on artificial eyes, robotic spine supports, artificial ear drums, mind controlled roboprosthetics, etc ; so from the tech side I totally see it coming. Some of them are coming to market. For example, the Indian dude in the cubicle next to me was working on software for artificial eyes and his work was bought by Facebook's oculus department and is currently in review. So All the age ailments from mobility issues, to failing senses will be a thing of the past if these mechanical solutions are fleshed out.

The amount of friends and loved ones I've known who've passed between the ages of 15-30 is insane, whether it's from car accidents, murder, suicide, or health issues. There's a lot of past people I care about I wish I could see them old/gray/bald, full of life with their family growing with them. It makes me appreciate being here still since time is short. The more one lives with purpose and intention, you're keeping your memory and stories alive even after you're gone I feel

This is a tertiary response to your post, because I am hoping anti-aging medicine becomes a thing more than the cybernetic enhancements.

While I don't want to die younger than my time a long, painful, debilitating death, but does life still carry the same meaning if we don't have a generalized expiration date? I feel like without an end date we slide into a behavioral sink that brings about the worst traits in humanity. A silly, but apropos analogy is kinda like when you beat the videogame and you're still running around the map just doing shyt because there's no more missions left.

Like someone else said, I love the wisdom and acceptance of self I have now but I wish I had it when I was 20.

But when I think of my entire life and my experiences, a lot of my mistakes and "failure to launch" makes perfect sense on some 1 + 1 = 2 shyt. Only makes me feel a little better but if you stew in regret you will only waste more time and energy. Just have to move forward and appreciate the little things.
