One of the most amazing things about music for me is how it can totally shift your vibe. I've never been in the "Its just entertainment" camp as I know life is vibration, frequency, resonance so your awareness sloshes around inside a cup shaped by the artist which in turns effects your concepts by either stoking fires or providing a vent for what was already present on some level.
As that
"Switch it up in 93" showed the music of an era reflects the people as well as molding them at the same time. Its a very interesting state of play when you think about it and its why
the drummer was always the main player in an military maneuvers as he set the tone for the troops.
The net has immortalized old jams that otherwise would've remained unheard as well as allowing you to vibe something someone made dolo and just shared. Thats mindblowing when you think about it.
Also having broad tastes makes you realize how stale and repetitive mainstream music is as its exceedingly formulaic. This in turn says a lot about modern people because this thotty, trappy mumbling stumbling style has been reigning supreme over the masses for how long now? It shows no sign of abating and its grip is exceedingly pervasive. Stranger still everyone who "wants in" makes the same sound, style and topic. No matter where they're from.
That is insane when you think about it. No one genre has remained on top for so long with so little innovation. Its like
Rap is the new Disco.
