Elaborate please.
Your access to all sorts of credit dramatically increases when you can keep your card limits below 9%... Say for instance you’re just starting your credit journey or rebuilding. The easiest thing is get a secured card, keep the utilization low (9% or less), never miss one payment. After a few months get an unsecured card and do same thing. This process can go on n on. Your score increases with 100% payments and very low utilization. The more you look like you don’t need credit the more institutions are dying to give it to you. Next thing you know you about to start your own business with other people’s money and cop that Dodge Ram TRX
:banderas:

But it’s definitely a process.

A credit score is just an indicator. Different finance companies will evaluate you differently based on their preferences for what type of customer they're seeking.

I've just reduced my utilisation over my 7 credit cards from around 35% to around 8%. Why? To allow time for the credit card companies to send me offers to entice me back into loading up my cards. When they do I'll load them back up with debt, all at 0% and invest that money into other things that'll make or save me money. Rinse, repeat every couple of years.

Pay your credit card in full every statement. Only make minimum payments when you're on a 0% deal. Never miss or be late for a payment.

People agonising over credit scores like they're supposed to mean something. What do you think mine looked like when I was applying for so many credit cards? I was in the low 300's and it didn't stop me getting access to more credit. Your payment history is the biggest factor in most risk assessments. Make them on time and never miss any.

I got a 3500 limit on my card. I probably use around 10% of it every month for the last year.

My FICO score is around 760.

How would using 20 percent more of my balance help me?
