I, for one, welcome our new space overlords.
Got laid off this December. Not giving up.

I still see myself driving that G-Wagon, House on the hills, millions in the bank and shyt.

All my heroes had a hard time getting there but they got there in the end. They got legacies, wealth and a real impact on society.

As long as I have my mind, my hands and a plan, I'm the man. It'll work out!

My future? Yes

The world's future? No

Now is the time to be as self focused and narrow as possible. We can't save the world, but we can put ourselves individually in the best position possible to win. Lock in on your finances, your fitness, weed out the fake friends and ask yourself if your signifant other is really for you?

Trump may ruin the country, but he ain't ruining me. I got things to do. God didn't make me regular, so I can't move regular.
I agree that self care and putting yourself in the best financial position right now is crucial. However, this type of hyper individualism is what lead to the situation we're in the first place. I can assure that if Trump 'ruins' the country you will not be okay. Collectivism and activism is our only way out of this. Stop trying to tune out the world and contribute to making the world a place you don't want to tune out from to begin with. No individual is going to save the world but enough of us fighting to make the world a better place will.

With a fascist authoritarian regime taking control of America and all the terrible things it entails, climate change, A.I. taking jobs, wealth inequality, cuts to social safety nets, rising housing costs, etc NONE of us will be able to tune out. We will all be forced out on to the streets at some point. I really hope you guys understand this and fully grasp what this means for you on a personal level. None of what is currently happening is sustainable for a functioning society. What's coming is so severe that collective action will be the ONLY option.

Brother Gill Scott Heron said it best.

"You will not be able to stay home, brother
You will not be able to plug in, turn on and cop out"

"The revolution will put you in the driver's seat"

the black cat is my crown...
to me it all boils down to whether a nuclear war pops off.... i agree that humanity has always gone through cycles, ups and downs, good and bad, progress and failure.... however at this point in humanity's existence we have the ability to wipe all human life off the planet.... the question is will our better angels win in the long run or will our worst devils win.....

that said, if we can avoid nuclear war there will be better days ahead and then more bad days and more better days and the cycle goes on.... it's the human condition....

The reality is, Trump co. are going to starve the poor whites and pit them against non-whites. While trump co. laugh at the bank as chaos ensues.

They want desperation so that everyone bends the knee to him and stabs everyone else in the back for crumbs

Buy ammo. :yeshrug:

They say hard men make easy times. And easy times make soft times. Soft men create hard times.

Seems to a lot of changes are us ahead, I don't see the world being the same after all the changes Trump is bringing about. On top of that, the wealth disparity, AI and technology replacing human workers is going to leave a lot of people lost in the workforce. This battle of the sexes. Family aren't tight as before. Watching all of my DC fam scrambling and worrying. It bothers me. And leaving here in Louisiana the past 18 month, the struggle has number stopped.

Whatever happens i feel we as a people are going to have to learn to work together and love on each other more.

I’m a millionaire so :manny:

But it took a ton of work so I’m not so detached from what the average person is dealing with because it’s just money — doesn’t make anyone immune from anything.

Doesn’t give me any extra perks and I’m black so I’m right back at square one :sadbron:

As you get older your best days gets less op , I'd say buy some land down south with your coins & plant something op because it's not gonna get any better for the black man in America . Fish , plant & hunt & get you a solar set up
The south is trash, we gotta stop telling black people just set up shop there.

optimistic because as I get older I'm understanding more about life and how hard it could be and is.

Really prioritizing certain things especially now I'm starting to actualytak advantage of opportunities I got that my previous generations didn't have.

Moving day to day sounds logical but a majority of people (mainly Americans) of a certain age and lower haven't seen anything about what's potentially going to happen. Especially at this rate. We haven't hit the "100 day" mark and the chaos is ramping up daily. I'm piggy backing off @MikelArteta and saying that we're getting the same stuff done by our country that they did to other vulnerable countries decades ago. Some of them still haven't recovered.

They gave the people that voted for this dude a 2nd time what they wanted: A legit opportunity to see people they perceive to be inferior suffer. Now they'll suffer too and probably go through wicked bouts of stress, anxiety, depression and possibly self-harm, as these companies are going to still lay off workers and operate lean, but at least the "others" will have it worse.
