She’s been marketed pretty well. Not everyone is destined to be a superstar. Her very first single was the lead single for Creed 2

Although it didn’t work out the way she wanted her label putting her on tour with Rod wave is a big deal since he’s the biggest artist of that generation. Just last month she had to cancel her own show due to low ticket sales.

What does she really want?

Idk.. I just feel like she doesn’t have “it”

I was never a fan of her voice and her music doesn’t have the edge that someone like SZA or Summer Walker has.

From her down to toni braxton, tlc, mary j etc etc

These labels know these women only care about fame , clothes, and being around male celebrities and sell these bytches dreams like they sell nikkas on cars and bytches..

All this prior information u had before entering the game in this era at that, you are the one that sold your ass to the devil

Ari is by far the best female RnB singer in the game. No question dreamville dropped the ball with her. Both of her albums were incredible and she has catchy melodies that should be appealling to mainstream audiences. She's 100% right. She's been mishandled. Dreamville had no idea how to promote her.

She's complaining about the lack of promo right now. What does that look like as an independent artist when you get zero promo you don't pay for...and she's already in debt? If I remember correctly, Cole/Ib discovered her performing in a jazz club overseas. Does she want to go back to that life while dropping albums on Bandcamp whenever she wants? Because that's where this is trending.

Yeah, which is why I say she can't have her cake and eat it too. Going independent means you do all the donkey work yourself pretty much. And when the dust settles at least you know that it's all you. Succeed or fail. It's all on you and nobody else.

By the way who is she in debt to? The label? Her landlord? She wasn't too clear on that through all her whining

What more should the label of done? I personally love Shea Butta baby but every artist with a good album won’t go mainstream. In fact she’s borderline neo soulish so she was never going to be mainstream anyway.

If your music doesn’t have rachetness to it the younger folk ain’t gon care about you.

She's broke and in debt...artists resort to tactics like this when they don't manage their funds well
sooooo, you saying from all the stories about advances being paid back to the label. Streaming not making money for the avg artist. Management, taxes, various expenses all adding up.. You come here and say she needs to manage her funds better?

TDE would prolly have her in the studio with terrace and glasper. She needs to have those jam sessions with top tier musicians. I wouldn't mind something a little more lo-fi from her. Think she would kill that low-key spaced out production. This song with summer walker shoulda got pushed heavy. shyt has everything needed to be a hit.

But dreamville has dropped the ball with all of their artists. Earthgang should also be WAY bigger than they are right now.

If a male artist wrote that post it would be crickets 🦗

Maybe I have no empathy after hearing

“We want equality”

Idk 🤷🏾‍♂️
No offense breh but I’m hoping you work through whatever is going on personally….not to mention we got hella instances of fans coming to bat for male artists in shytty deals. Lupe fans literally protested his label lol
