crazy cuz i was thinking just today that if the chapelle show was on BET i probably would've fukked with it.
it had a "we're laughing at you not with you" vibe whenever i would hear cacs rave about it.

Great interview

Aries hits on all the points from a comic's point of view. For instance when he describes how you watch a boxing match on tv and in the crowd you see lennox lewis, tyson, de la hoya and other boxers. You may have never heard of the two dudes boxing, but boxers know other boxers. They understand them from a professional standpoint as well. then he links that to how martin is good in movies but his stand up is ehh--. then mentions how Eddie get's lost in characters such as the klumps and in coming to america whereas martin when he does all his characters is simply him in a wig and makeup acting a fool. Its funny if you like that over the top silliness but keep in mind you arent believing that martin is his mom, or jerome, we know its martin but we want to see how much of a fool he can be because its outside of the dynamic of the character that is martin on the show. Whereas watching the nutty professor we see sherman and buddy love, as two completely different characters even though they are the same person/character by the same actor.
