I agree with him on certain points.
I cannot stand the fact that black people are ok with worshipping a european version of Jesus.
Even my mom, who's religious as can be, sombrely asked why, if God was there, he'd let our people suffer for so long.
400 years is a long time to suffer and be treated like animals. Four centuries, hundreds of generations, to this day, suffering.
And we have the gall to claim this is good, it is part of a plan. How many millions had to die for this plan? What did we get?
If our people will dogmatically stick to religion, then it should be a source of unity and capital mobility. Like muslims or jews.

This is how I explain the God concept to my children.
Let's say on some other dimension that we can't comprehend, there exists a being with a body just like ours, made up of atoms, molecules, tissue, organs, bones, and blood.
Let's call this person God.
And every star system in this Universe consists of the atoms that make up that body.
When you look at a solar system, what does it mirror?
An atom.
In an atom you have a nucleus (the star) with electrons revolving around it (the planets).
Using that model, we would be mere microscopic particles on one electron, of one atom, that is one of trillions that make up the whole body.
How much attention do you give to the individual particles that make up an individual electron revolving around the nucleus of one of the 7 X 1027 atoms that make up your body?
Not much at all.

And I hate when I get into conversations with ppl who say they dont believe in God and that's their reason.
Its freaking lazy, and not deep at all. Very childlike.
For example...
If a child wanted to eat candy all day...
But the parent took the candy away.
The child would cry, and cry for the candy.... and wonder why the parent is punishing them. Why they cant have this good thing, that they want.
But the parent knows better than the child.
The parent knows about dieting, sugar intake, cavities etc....
Muthafukaz is saying they dont believe in God cause people die, ppl suffer, muthafukaz go thru shyt, that a human being might feel is catastrophic or the end of the world.
Like a child losing its candy.
But a man like Arie spears and other ppl cant phathom for a second that a power that can create a whole universe of shyt... can think a million times beyond with u think and know.
And what u think is catastrophic, is just a means to a greater or worse result that only he knows.... but u dont...

Had a guy i was friends with whom felt the same.. Lost his moms to a Brain aneurysm.. and he Prayed every day for months.. and still.. she passed.. so from that day he was like.. why would you let my moms suffer... just to take her away.. I cant say i agree with his P.O.V. but i understand it

Denying candy to children to prevent cavities and instilling a heathy diet is a whole different experience than being tortured/starved/brutally murdered/etc breh.
Thats a horrible comparison.
And a deity differs greatly from a parent because a parent is actually fukking present (both physically and emotionally). Over time a child learns to trust an adults word or the adult can explicitly restrict the childs actions or discipline them. Not so easy when said deity appears to be even less real than Superman.

I'm just glad to see more people questioning things.
Black folks as a whole would benefit more from skepticism. It's too often we have people walking believing something to be true simply because they've been told so.
As for God, everyone needs to ask themselves why they believe in God, and what good reasons, supported by good (demonstrable) evidence has convinced them that, that belief is true.
Every argument is based on faith, or some long drawn out argument that at the end leaves a gap in which you have to fill with faith. There's nothing unique, or true about choosing to belief based on faith.
For me it's as simple as if God wants me to accept he exists he can reveal himself to me. If God then wants me to worship him, then he can make a case as to why he's worthy of worship.
