My question is, what about the other side? Folks always talk about the suffering and bad things God "allows" but what about the good?
What about the cancer/terminal patients that get told they have a certain amount of time to live, then they live another 20 years? My friends mom has had 6 different cancers in her body, she's hanging on by a string now, but she's still here and her sons are grateful for that. The child who's mom was killed or died giving birth, they were SUPPOSED to die but they miraculously survived and are thriving. The single parent who's about to be evicted with their child(ren) but a mysterious check happens to come to them, or they somehow get the money that they need...
I've seen several miracles in my life, ones only God could make happen. Hell, He's worked so many wonders in my life, I can't attribute it to anyone or anything but God. He isn't some "cosmic genie" here to grant all of your wishes. He gives comfort and blessings to those that believe and trust. If we never saw rain, how could we truly appreciate the sun? If you never saw pain/heartache, how could I truly appreciate happiness and joy? Maybe the bad stuff happens for a bigger reason. So that someone can learn or grow. IDK, if you get it you get it...if you don't, that's cool and you won't (well, hopefully you will) but the greatest thing God gave humanity (other than His son, Jesus) is free will. Nobody is forcing you to do or believe anything.
Just my opinion
I'm not going to argue religion...it won't get us anywhere. If you don't believe, you will find a reason not to, and if you do, you will find a reason to. I believe and trust in God. His love is free and open to all. If you DON'T believe that's cool too, so there shouldn't be any problems with that either. Live your life and we will live ours... Peace and blessings
