I find them funny but not CONSISTENTLY funny. Like, their funniest shyt is up there with the best skits. But when it misses it's cringeworthy.

Also worth mentioning that I was introduced to them by a white guy. He couldn't wait to show me one of their skits. (the teacher pronouncing the kids' names)

I never watched their show on the regular but some of their skits that others told me about are funny as fukk. Those football name shyts

For the record, K&P are the definition of hit and miss. I'm mad I spent money on that Keanu bullshyt....but I'm just a fan of comedy in general. Funny is funny and sometimes they are are.

I wouldn't call them corny but their show was hit and miss IMO their best skits were Family Matters and The East West Bowls and some were ok but went on too long so it killed the joke

I don't find Key and Peele funny because their style of humor is corny, but nikkas who're saying they don't mess with them because they "act white" are seriously holding our entire race back.

The point was that Key & Peele don't have that connection to Black folk like other comedians do.
A big part of that is - they're not really comedians, they're comedic actors.

Aries had a big point in saying there's no Def Comedy Jam or anything like that anymore where
comics had to get on a stage in front of Black folk and relate to them and be funny. They are
indicative of that...and it's not that it's wrong, per se, it just is what it is.

And Aries ain't just talkin' chit - he was on MadTV with them, he was there.
Like he said, in the "Black" MadTV sketches they were in, they would put more bass in their voice
and put on doo-rags and chit to really sell it.
I fucc wit' Key & Peele, but it's true.

When MadTV was on, I rocked with it in a major way. And when they got their own show,
Alotta Black folk were like "who are these dudes? I never heard of them..."


I think it's more problematic that people feel that so-and-so can't be "funny" just because their "corny".
Comics are supposed to be corn...but whatever...
