because the people in the kitchen had to prepare 40 meals all at once. i worked in a restaurant when i was a kid and i always thought it was fukked up that i had to slave away in the kitchen only for a waitress to get tipped over how good a job i did with their food. only on rare occasions did savvy people come to the kitchen to tip us personally. it was especially fukked up when they would seat a customer 5 minutes before closing then bounce after getting the check, while the rest of us had to stay behind and clean up all the dishes and shyt.Shared some of it?
