Powerful thread. I'm in my late 20's and while not an expert on everything in this thread, some of it is just indelibly stuck in my mind from hearing the older neighbor hood cats playing these cuts. I never heard of black uhuro for some reason tho and I'm on youtube thru their catalog right now. for you guys to listen to rap in the same volume amd bulk, the past gens did as well.
On top of the fact, most bboys were at war with rnb, for a time period.
Since your Gen did not do graffiti, dj or partake in the culture.
You were not a fixture on the mass transits system, like our Gen.
So, in general you probably would not understand listening to albums in bulk.
the quality is not there in your Gen to understand what it is to be about this culture in that capacity.
