Yes, you can. Just not everyone can do it, but it's possible as long as you are literate in your patois and local history, as well as gifted in drawing analogies and creating metaphors. Freestyling is the equivalent of one of those languages where each syllable has 1000 years history, a form for nobles and a form for peasants, a form for men and a form for women, and 'The dog chased the cat' is packed with meaning depending on exactly which form you use where and when, and what sentences came before and after it.

Some people are innately talented in it. Everybody else should work on it, and that's okay.
