Not sure but I would guess that Steve Stoute put together that deal, his ad-firm has had plenty of business with LVMH and Jay-z is part-owner of the firm. :krs:
But perhaps it's another firm, the firm that did Jay-z's whole Decoded thing. When it comes to ad's in hiphop, there's a fat chance that Jay is involved through Steve Stoute.

Stoute's been working on ads since the 90s and been working with Nas since the same period so I dont think its as tied up to the firm like that.

Truthfully since Nas got repped by Emagen entertainment (same company that manages Lady Gaga) hes been more on a commercial grind the past couple of years (More award show appearances, cross advertising deals, business ventures)

I never got why people on AHH/SOHH thought that could be a single during the peak of the southern records/eminem produced interscope records phase of that time. The singles he released for Streets Disciple at the time were fine for what he was trying to do.

That's true, but he's been fukkin with them for 6-7 years now, he was active before that as well, if not more.

Imo the rebound in "commercial activity" came after the IRS through Tmz informed us about his deep shyt and Baby Mommas going hard in the court room.
Nas seems like a "lazy" cat, he does not seem to enjoy working except with music. But for a few years now, he's been forced to work to keep living that good life.
Just how I saw it.. And if got me thinking about what his career would've been if he was as driven as someone like Dr. Dre, 50 (couldn't keep up musically), Puff or Jay-z.

You're right.

Translation got Nas that deal. Stoute just took Nas to Cannes to get him more exposure on the international market for investors two weeks ago. But as you noted, Jay is a owning partner for that firm.

Stoute has had such a huge role in Nas' success, you can't ignore how impactful he's been for dude. Nas ended up firing the guy at one point. Bad move. I truly believe had he kept him onboard, Nas' career would be on a totally different level.
