So now you're sneak dissing because you feel a type of way about what I'm saying? LOL. You NY nikkas are so sensitive.
For the record, I got nothing but love for NY. Always have a great time when I'm there. As far as I'm concerned, some of the coolest people in the world live in NY.
I'm not making these comments out of hate. I'm making them out of pure disappointment. As a guy who used to live abroad, and hearing "Deja Vu" for the first time...we wanted to be ya'll! I was abroad singing "Uptown baby! we gets down baby!" New York ran this for real.
But ya'll fell off in ways that I still struggle to comprehend. And the "we don't rock with other coasts" mentality has become so pathetic. Ya'll don't even notice how pathetic you sound. Your stuff is so behind the times it's staggering.
Slang is the least of your problems. Try making some great beats first. Then getting people with actual charisma to rap on them. Then we'll worry about right and wrong slang.
So how do you explain Slick Rick, one of your pioneers?
No they don't. It completely depends on the type of music they want to put out.
NY is NY because it's made up of so many different cultures and backgrounds. NY is a world city. That's why people love it.
A cat from Queens could come out with a Korean flow and I would fukk with it. Because that's what I expect from NY: innovation on the highest levels.
If we're gonna keep it a stack, New York became what it is preciously because it bit other peoples cultures/styles, etc. But now you wanna pretend like you're too good to bite the South when you've been biting them since day one? (Where's James Brown from?)
We're shytting on ya'll because we were such huge fans of ya'll, and we're asking you to step your game up. and instead of taking in some of our points, you're here beating your chest on some arrogant "I'm from NY" shyt.
Knock it off
