Ok. But he hasn't still done anything to maintain his hype after those songs. He can give you a good joint or two but the mainstream fans keep ignoring him. Wale don't have that "it" factor to have people to keep checking up on him.
How can you say that when those songs all led to dude being bigger after they dropped?

Nike Boots got Lil Wayne to hop on the remix
No Hands was a big record and let a lot of people know that Wale could step out of his lane and do that kind of song
Lotus Flower bomb was a big song, he's always had big singles though, outside of that Lady Gaga shyt.

You saying mainstream fans ignored those songs? They ignored Bad?

Whats makes you think he is being ignored? He has numerous hits and sales a good pace each album since MMG

He lacks a true identity IMO. He drives in too many lanes and he's not great at any of em.

No lie though, his songs for women are better than most rappers IMO.

dude lacks flow and mic presence, he's one of those dudes i can never make it through an album (outside of AD, which was his worse selling, yet my favorite) and he rarely makes projects with heavy replay value. plus, i'll be honest, his twitter/interview/media antics just made him come across miserable, angsty, and bytchmade all in one

edit: like someone else said, dude is tier 2 (sometimes even 3) on the popularity scale, so he's done well. the rap game isn't open enough for everyone to be on like that

I've read people on here say he peaked with Ambition... but The Gifted is clearly his best album. Piff from start to finish, and I still play it to this day
:win:

That album was so good young shyt makes me mad when ******s talk about wanting good music . Then it pops up in your face yet you giving love to young thug :dahell:

Coli dudes be clueless about good music i gotta check my emotions cause i know they are idiots .
Gifted was the best album of that dropped that summer. Better than cole, kanye and drake albums that year.

Wale better than kendrick too :yeshrug:
I think those are his strenghts. :wtf:

These nikkas dont really listen to music

Wale doesn't put himself in his music enough. "Girls on drugs" was dope, but I like hearing stories. Not hypothetical, but real things to tie into his life.

Which is why i give drizzy and cole the edge over wale. They have real life stories in their music.
