in a lot of ways i feel like this is ye's magnum opus in the way that sign o the times is prince's. mbdtf is like a perfect gumbo of all the sounds ye had experimented with on his previous albums mixed all up to make this perfect gumbo of an album. then you factor his performance on the album along with the guest appearances and that makes for what is a great album. would you say it's the best hip hop album we've gotten this decade so far?

You can't make a thread like this with a closed mind. Lupe's last album is better than F&L.
It's literally the equivalent of The Godfarher or A Beautiful Mind
I'm so sick of this album being so overrated. It's good, classic even, but it lacks something that I can't quite put my finger on.
Also, gorgeous is a repetitive dud track that kills all the momentum Dark Fantasy builds up.
I would put GKMC, LiveLove, XXX all above it easily

I just dont get the love for this album, maybe good fridays took some of the steam out of it for me, but i dont adulate it as much as some tend to.
