as far as the 10's go, is my beautiful dark twisted fantasy the best hip hop cd we've gotten so far?

And as far as best hip-hop albums of the 10s go, I also agree that Piñata and GKMC > MBDTF. I would also put HnC, Setbacks, Control System (TDE had a great run in the early 2010s), and MOTM II by Cudder on that list.

I would also PERSONALLY put Indicud on my top hip-hop albums of the 10s list but I know a lot of people won't agree. But to me that album was brilliant. Songs like 'Brothers' > the entirety of MBDTF :yeshrug:

That shyt is not the consensus opinion. It's only stated by delusional Kanye fans. And fukkin hipsters. It's already bad enough nikkas try to act like it's this all time great hip hop album. But putting it side by side with Thriller is something only retards like Chris Rock would do. But that shyt DEFINITELY ain't the majority opinion. Do a worldwide poll and that shyt would get blown out of the water. It's just pure ignorance to even consider that shyt.
This generation is just plain retarded. U don't have to show and prove anything. U can just say some shyt enough times and people will believe it. I mean u could literally feed these people shyt and say it's chocolate. .
:mjlol:
When all else fails just make a dumb attack on "the generation" because you don't feel something.
Why is it pure ignorance to consider it one of the GOAT albums just because you don't feel it?
And it's not just Kanye stans that repeat that, new fans do it all the time and I know plenty of Kanye haters who prop the album up.

Based on replay value alone, MBDTF gets tha nod. I play it more than GKMC in this present day. Great work-out music. Although "the Recipe" gets a lot of burn in tha whip.

I dont think its that great either and truly dont understand people's obsession with it. Same thing with Yeezus. They're just too much for me.

nikka it's pure ignorance cause there's nothing on it competing with the songs it's up against. It does nothing exceptional even on a hip hop scale and it has mad technical flaws. Also there's no songs that transcend the genre on MBDTF like with Thriller. nikka an album like Thriller has songs that u can literally go ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD and people know them. From urban communities to small villages. THERE IS NO CONTEST. MJ broke boundaries with that album that Kanye could never dream of. It trumps Kanye's album in every way imaginable. Arrangements. Composition. Vocals. Mixing and mastering. Hits. I mean I feel stupid that I even have to have this conversation. NO hip hop album is fukkin wit it. Pac is prolly the only hip hop artist that remotely gets that love and even he is nowhere close.

Why the fukk are you comparing a pop/dance album released in a wildly different world than we have today to a hip hop album MBDTF?
It's literally impossible to achieve Michael Jackson level of fame and adulation today, and no it's not because of how great he was but because of the exposure people had to celebrities then, the way people consumed music, and the way the media worked among other things.
It's a fukking insane comparison to make and if that's your metric for being a GOAT album then you're the one with a problem.
Do you really think that any opposition you put up is going to stop people from thinking it's a GOAT album?
New people listen to it every year and their reaction is the same and most likely it will continue.
Just accept that you don't get what the majority of the population feels and move on, this makes you way too angry.
Also Kanye is an entirely different artist in a different genre than MJ so comparing their music is just silly, they're both exceptional artists who make quality music.

nikka I ain't gotta accept anything. fukk outta here. Ive prolly forgotten more music than alotta these dumbasses sayin that shyt ever heard. Cause like I said before. People thinking it's the GOAT album AIN'T the consensus outside of Kanye fans. The delusional ones. nikka the music spreads FASTER today and it STILL ain't reach where MJ reached. The only one that has to accept anything is YOU. Cause if u think majority people think that damn Kanye album is the greatest album of all time. U lost ya fukkin mind. shyt. Alotta people don't even think it's Kanye's best album. But at most the consensus would be it's Kanye fans favorite from him. But of all time? Hell no. shyt ain't even the best hip hop album all time. I actually listed major flaws with the album. Saying it's the GOAT isn't rooted in any kind of reality. Its literally like a random person saying something is the best ever and everyone has to accept it. There's no basis for the claim being made.

I don't think you understand this Michael Jackson thing.
It doesn't matter if music moves faster when celebrities don't have a mystique about them, people are more jaded because of things they have access to, there's a wider pool of music for people to access, and people don't have to buy this, and these are just some of the reasons why achieving MJ level fame is impossible that are totally separate from the quality of his music.
So using him or say the Beatles as a metric for success is fukking insane when Kanye's essentially reached what the peak is for someone in the year 2015 which is still HUGE.
And there's nothing that objectively makes MJ's music better, plus it's pop so it's more accessible.
It's not just Kanye fans or people you'd label as delusional who love this Album, people with as wide of a breadth of knowledge on music as you claim you have praise it and eople who only listen to other genres of music like rock have been converted to listening to rap off of the strength of the album.
Whether you like it or not this is the way it is, it's not even my favorite Kanye album, that's LR, but me preferring that doesn't change it.

It's not even top 25 hip hop album. You can't compare MBDTF to say Illmatic, ATLiens, RD or Ready To Die and say it's on equal level. Well you could, but then I'd know you have no clue about hip hop, I've never heard actual head say MBDTF is a classic. It's laughable assertion.

You can have your opinion, but that doesn't mean it's not a dumb one.
