as far as the 10's go, is my beautiful dark twisted fantasy the best hip hop cd we've gotten so far?

MBDTF is a monumental album for hip hop. The production is unmatched.. Kanye and guests really brought it as well. Anyone who doesn't respect what Ye did with it just don't know a lot about music imo.

MY favorite Kanye album, and really the peak of production. You can't get the 21312321 producers and mixers in one room, to replicate something like that. Ye, clearly had a vision for that album, and was in an interesting place. We're not even talking about the anticipation, coming off of 808's which many didn't like because it was different, Taylor Swift meltdown, him catching a plethora of L's, getting clowned by South Park and on SNL, and then dumping Amber Rose :takedat:, and that's all before we talk about GOOD FRIDAYS, which exponentially increased the hype to a level that hadn't been seen for years.

No album that comes out today is going to something like MBDTF did. The game has changed way too much, shyt came out at the perfect time, right before streaming and social media were in their toddler years.

I wouldn’t call the production unmatched. But it showed where hip hop could go. Almost like the next step. It’s almost like what was needed to showcase people utside of hip hop the beauty of the genre. Like a “we could do y’all shyt too”.... to call it unmatched isn’t really fair, cause from a production standpoint, “the chronic” “enter the 36”, “blueprint” “supreme clientele”, “lad”, “aquemini” all stand up to it imo. They just sit right in our hip hop pocket, while MBDTF shifts to people outside of hip hop. MBDTF is like “Stankonia” on steroids from a production standpoint.

No need to shyt on our other classics. Without them, there would be no MBDTF

When did I shyt on other classics? You need to chill tbh. I haven’t even mentioned any of those records in my post. This paragraph was unnecessary.

Lol. My bad, Long day. Nah I just saw ur statement about it being unmatched and I always feel like people who don’t really fukk with hip hop always hold MBDTF and Stankonia to some crazy standards just because the albums are more experimental, live instrumentation and have conventional arrangements production wise.
