As hated as the current Warriors are, no team since 2000 was hated like 2010-2014 Miami Heat. None.

Nope Warriors are the most hated team of all time at this point and I grew up when the Lakers and Celtics were both hated.

Media always protected Warriors and KD as they feel Curry and KD are good faces of the league, and they feel those two can convert casuals and nba haters who are shook of the nba's thuggish reputation. They were going like rabid dogs at Bron and the Heatles. Never saw Skip, SAS, Dan LeBatard, ESPN, FOX, NBC Sports etc bashing the warriors the same way they bashed the heat and bron.

I guess its the same reason why the 1986 mets, the 1993 phillies, the 1968 jets and the 1985 bears got attention.
I can't speak on the jets because even my dad was just 6 when they won the super bowl (poor guy is still waiting to see them make it back), but I would guess that they're largely remembered for the massive upset they pulled and that most of the atmosphere around them was local and not national. He'll tell you about those mets all day though. Absolutely detested them. Damn near every member of the organization to the point that when they ended up facing Boston in the World Series, his reaction was "can a meteor hit the stadium during the game so I don't have to see one of these guys win the whole thing :martin:?". The bears are a great example, between McMahon and Payton on offense, Singletary and Richard Dent and the fridge on defense, and Ditka and buddy Ryan on the coaching staff, there were personalities that made people tune in all over the organization, and I didn't even get into the feud between Ditka and Ryan that drew major attention too. It's like how the 2000 ravens had Brian Billick and Rex Ryan on the coaching staff, Shannon sharpe on offense (Terrell Davis has been quoted as saying if he wasn't their teammate that they would've hated him), and of course Ray Lewis and Tony Siragusa on defense. They felt like the pro equivalent of the Miami hurricanes teams from the 80's that we got a 30 for 30 on, and of course there was the events from the offseason going into 2000 that had a lot more eyes glued to them. A team with a lot of things happening around it and a lot of strong personalities is always compelling.

If you're talking from a media standpoint then yea, that's true.

2010-14 Big 3 Miami WATTBA :lawd:

No team besides maybe the Bad Boy Pistons got as much hatred from the fans. This wasn't some we hate y'all because y'all are good. Nah it ran deeper than that. Sure GS has their share of haters, but it's nowhere near the amount Miami had. Alot of fans are indifferent when it comes to GS and just wanna watch basketball. That word wasnt in the vocab during the Big 3 era. Either you loved them or hate them. No in between.

"The Decision" made LeBron public enemy #1. How could the hometown kid leave the blue collar city in the midst of their championship drought for the glitz and glamour of South Beach? It just rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, but it was the right decision. Plus, folks were dead wrong about his FA. Most people had him going to either NY or NJ. I'll give my mom credit bc she predicted it would happen after seeing how Wade and LeBron played in the 2010 ASG.

Miami legit felt like they were larger than life. You don't get that feeling from GS. GS is a collection of great basketball talent, but most of those dudes have dull personalities. Miami had the talent and the rockstar personalities that made them must see TV. They fully embraced the villain role. Peep the crowds when Miami was on the road vs GS when they on the road. It's night and day.

Tbh, the NBA should think the Big 3 because it breathed fresh air into the league. I can't wait for the 30 for 30 on this squad :banderas:

It's been 22 years now I think where we've been top 7 in attendance and top 8 in tv ratings every season. How about those of us off 30's let this guy know just how many heat fans there actually are :mjplo:? @havoc @TheGregReaper @ThugLife @Draje @HiphopRelated @Intruder v3.0 @Captain_Crunch @AkaDemiK @He Who Posts Well @Type Username Here @madness @Green Ranger @Sauce Dab @DontDoIt @OfTheCross @Stepintoaworld

Only team I really HATED was those Reggie Miller Pacers in the 90s.

@mbewane would understand.

:mjcry:

Haha yeah I hear you but tbh for me it was more out of respect, because we were going to war with similar teams and no one was trying to "cheat" the game, it was just hard nose basketball, and whoever wins wins. I hated the Pacers and the 90s Heat, but only because they were on our path every single year lol...I respected them (lost some respect for the Heat with the whole PJ Brown strategy though)...so yeah personnaly the Heatles is def the team I've hated the most. :yeshrug:

Dan Lebatard was the Heat's biggest advocate in he media.

they were free agents and could sign wherever they wanted, how a player choosing a team a bytch move?

ol ''players have to go through the hardest path in order to win championships'' ass nikka

For starters. He announced it live on tv and didn't tell the cavs before hand. They only found out shortly before. Then the little pep rally, then all the lil shenanigans in between and making fun of Dirk, leading up to that grand choke job. Stop rewriting history, acting like it was all pure hate for a black man wanting to carve his own "legacy" nikka please. I do believe racism played a role, but outside of cacs and especially those ones in Ohio, everybody else didn't give a fukk about lebron's "power" cause at that point, Lebron was a nikka who lost in the finals and couldn't get out the playoffs for the rest of those first 6 seasons. It was seen as a bytch move to form with Wade and bosh. Sitting here pretendin that people didn't view it as a bytch move would be ridiculous of you. He made that whole first season with miami a spectacle which played into the hate he still receives regardless of what he accomplished after.
