I'm asking you why don't you have the same unsympathetic bootstrap attitude when talking about the housing crisis in general?

“the system” did not drive black people out of black neighborhoods. Black people did that. We can’t look up in 20 more years and blame systemic racism for further erosion of black demographics in southern LA or other places we currently are.
There is already a housing shortage. It’s getting worse without reforms to zoning law and other regulations driving growth. That however has nothing to do with market participation though.
