Keep them white. I really don't like how Disney repeatedly uses cacs' angry reactions to their race swapping casting to drum up publicity for their movies. I think at this point their use of race controversy to sell their movies is very much intentional.

So many underutilized black characters and yet they always do this shyt. Black Panther wasn't going to be a movie until black people on the internet pressured Feige to do it.
Na, you're absolutely wrong. The X Men was based on the civil rights movement. In fact, if you watch the original series, they had personalities and problems similar to being African American. I think there should be some diversity in the cast. Nothing major but Magneto, wolverine and Gambit could easily be black.

Wanna see a black silver surfer tho
The Obsidian Surfer:mjlit:

Neither Magneto or Xavier's character's race play a crucial part in their identity. The Holocaust was used as a basis for Erik's ideology. There's plenty of horrible shyt that's happened to people of all shades based on inequality and one group deeming itself superior to another. Replace the Holocaust with apartheid, Asian internment camps, British rule of India (which gives you a Ghandi/Xavier correlation), etc.

The majority of superheroes don't inherently need to be a certain race or gender. Obviously Black Panther needs to be black, Wonder Woman needs to be female, Amadeus Cho should be Asian, etc. But Superman's an alien, breh. He can be whatever the fukk the writer wants him to be:mjtf:

Black Jews where moved to the front of the line in the holocaust....

The problem is... The Holocaust is already 80 years ago. So, Magneto is gonna get a new origins. Probably based around a more recent genocide.

It's funny, because the Jew thing is such a footnote to his character that it doesn't matter to be honest.

Magneto should be an Ethiopian jew with slow aging that suffered both the holocaust and discrimination. Professor X should be a liberal like Joe Biden trying to obtain a ticket to the black bbq.

Apocalypse definitely needs to be black as well.

Cho is a Korean surname. They don't have to make him a dude, but going with the name Amadeus Cho kind of lends itself to that background. Cho was created specifically as a Korean American successor to the Hulk, so his character's race is actually important. Johnny Storm's whiteness isn't indicative of a cultural background nor does it play into his upbringing or personality. When Falcon became the new Captain America, his blackness was an integral part of the story, but he could work as a Mexican or Arab and keep those same plot points and themes in tact. Magneto's background informs his character, but his Judiasm isn't necessary to have the same exact ideals in place. In fact his Judiasm wasn't even touched on for over a decade after his inception.

It's definitely splitting hairs though and a better example would be Shang-Chi instead of Cho:manny:

he wasnt made to be a successor to the hulk but a sidekick to him and hercules, but theres nothing uniquely asian about cho other than his name. faiza hussein or kamala khan, sure. if anyone can be racially changed, then cho could definetely be in the list of many
