you rarely need extended warranties for electronics

and if you really want one you get one from squaretrade not bestbuy
Already had a tv go out on me about 3 months left on a 4 year warranty, walk into a different bestbuy and grabbed a 42" for $100, I had a 32" its just easy to switch out shyt, never a hassle, took about an hour, also my friedn threw his laptop, and they gave him another one, so I'll stick with bestbuy until I have a bad experience, so far the warranty service has been great for me :yeshrug:

The one thing that annoys me about Best Buy at times are the employees who really don't know much about electronics working there.

Don't try and bullshyt a bullshytter... and don't try and bullshyt a tech head. You'll be greeted with the instant

I remember going in there messing around with that TouchPad when the fire sale was going on. Dude was like, "Why do you want one of those? It doesn't have any apps", I'm like, yeah, but it's 150 and Android is going to get ported to it sooner than later. He goes on to tell me that he already tried porting Android for it and it didn't work (yes, this nikka actually said this, and he said it before the CM10 or anybody released shyt for it). I liked at dude like, "Oh yeah? Really?"...

He then goes on and tries to sell me an iPad and I just laughed at him and said I'm not spending that much for a tablet. THe only reason I'm looking into this one is because it's cheap.
You know those guys probably make something close to minimum wage right? You really want to take advice on high ticket electronic items from a guy who probably makes in a month what that item you're gonna buy in a day cost?

I bought mad shyt from Best Buy over the years. But since the rise of services like Amazon, I just use Best Buy to scope out things in person before I'd buy it.

Totally separate from that, is my disdain for them bothering the fukk out of you every 5 minutes as you're trying to browse. I had a problem with that before Amazon ever existed.

My favorite was Circuit City. They'd leave you the fukk alone until you asked for help. Or one person would say "hey, can I help you?", and then bounce if you said "no". Also they had a great foreign movie selection.

you know what kind of person someone is by the way they treat customer service people, waiters, call center agents, etc

i don't shop on Amazon as much. I'd rather price match them at Best Buy because its a local place I can deal with if I have a problem. Honestly though when i get a house and they're willing to leave packages at the door I'm probably gonna get Amazon Prime and shop on there way more.

When will these companies realize asking people to sign up for extra shyt hurts their company in the long run. All they see is the short term profits from unused extended warranties and protection plans and see a few positive customer surveys and think it's all good.

10 years later they wonder why business is down, and instead of correcting, they push the extended shyt even harder, cause now they NEED the money.

No I don't have a CVS card, no I do not want to be a Power Up Pro member, no I would not like to buy a 3 year extended warranty on my office chair :snoop: No I would not like to sign up for a rewards account.

The worst is the companies who penalize their employees for not asking enough times. This Staples bytch was required to ask us 3 times if we wanted the warranty or she got a negative mark on her record. She obviously didn't want to sell it yet was still listing bullet points to us. I swear the corporate suits making the rules, are looking at graphs, they haven't had to experience this from a consumer end in a long time in most cases.

Consumer electronics industry needs a big wake up.

Waiting a couple days for a tv you copped for $899 no tax and free shipping on amazon>>>>>>>>>>>> spending over $1000 for the same tv from best buy and wasting gas to go pick it up

I dont know about you but I'd rather have that extra $100+ to spend on something else....and the extra gas too
