Zelda Wind Waker and SM3DW are the best games, hands down. I couldn't get into W101, but I'll try out Monster Hunter since I'm watching Lost again. I prolly won't even get to DK until after Mario Kart 8 gets rinsed.

Mh3u and w101 are my two most played games. I love both games but they play nothing alike.
Mh3u after the introductory missions is basically a game with nothing but boss battles. Hard ass boss battles. The weapon you choose will affect the way you play. Light weapon, spam and dodge. Heavy weapon (my preference) slow attacks, more calculated, more damage. You also need to make sure you have the right Armour and items before each job cause it makes a major difference. Like dude said, it's technical but very very addictive. I had to stop playing cause it was eating up too much of my time. Multiplayer is online, co-op, not competative, it's very easy to find a match and most players are happy to help new players level up. I never played 1 or 2 but picked it up pretty quickly. It's slower paced than an action game which might put some people off but it makes every move and strike much more important and towards the end of every job you are really feeling like, "i have to kill this muthafukking monster if its the last thing i do". Like I said, very addictive
W101 is straight action. Probably the most pure action game I ever played. It's all about mastering the controls and power ups. At first it can be a little overwhelming and even frustrating but once it clicks its a whole different feel. It takes a little longer to pick up but once you do it is very rewarding. When you are pulling off major combos and tearing through enemies without getting touched you really feel like a boss. People often say the right stick is easier to draw with, for me I use a combination of right stick and screen depending on the attack I'm using. I love the little (and not so little) references to past Platinum and Nintendo games. All in all, I'm currently on 101 difficulty and loving it. Multiplayer is local, and competing for highest score. It's good if you have someone skilled to play with
But yeah, these games play nothing alike but are both very addictive for different reasons.
Between these two, Pikmin 3, Windwaker HD and NSMBU (which I really hated at first but grew to love when trying to get all the star coins), I haven't even had a chance to try SM3DW or DKTF. And with MK8 just around the corner I'm really not sure when I will even have a chance to get to them.
Copped Monster Hunter and let my nephews try it. Now they won't let me play. They're freaking over it.
I'm sorry I don't want to play those same 4 IP's anymore, y'all can keep that shyt
