I mean...while I can assume that they are good people....I don't think it's a necessarily a good thing that these movements are gaining involvement from people that likely don't face the discrimination they are fighting.

everyone wants more . successful people and groups are never satisfied unless on top.

asians have certain issues they want to fix.

the asian i know.. Do feel like the media portrays them in a weird way. (even tho when i talk to them I think " da fukk ? you really do act like that)

in industry.... they have group economics, many great positions... many techincall skillsets.... but they are basically the driving force behind...
making certain cac richer. They are usually the specialst but not the COO. The 'priciple' but not the CFO. not the leaders.

They want to be leaders.

Also they want a voice. From our (black) perspective they are doing great ---- police , justice system , and media aren't trying to lynch them every year.... they aren't viewed as dark demons... and they aren't as epidemically disenfranchised and impoverished as most blacks.... but...

they want a voice in politics mainly and the media (sports, entertainment, talk shows, news networks, etc). Even some young ones don't like the 'uncool' stereotypes. . For whatever reason they don't wanna play the background. I guess being irrelevant unless providing work - isn't how they want to stay.

Oh I understand that everyone wants more.

But I don't like them making their political come up ON OUR BACKS.

If they want to start their own civil rights organizations and movements...more power to em....but going out and getting a law degree, than just stepping up to the plate for blacks.....we need to be weary of this shyt.

Doesn't the success of Asians in America essentially prove everything that theworldismine13 says about black empowerment needing to come through economics and not politics?
If we ever have a "come up"....I would assume that it would be a cross-cultural,cross-generational, all-encompassing...a massive movement that changes everything about America.

While the "goal" is and always has been the overall well-being of black people (And in America, that is essentially economic empowerment, as money is god in this country)...I don't think we should disregard other aspects of life.

"Politics" (And by that, I don't necessarily mean party politics, but the raising of awareness, organization, propaganda, etc) is likely the mechanism through which we promote black economics. What else could do it? I mean, it's not like we are all going to wake up one day and say "You know what, I'm no longer going to spend money at non-black establishments". It's going to take....a large change in black consciousness.

Edit : And while Asians might not have as much sway in party politics (Which might not even be true, I'd have to research this more and get a head count on who is doing what in our government, my guess is that they aren't as marginalized as we are led to believe), this doesn't mean that their success isn't political in some nature.

The Chinese in particular seem politically motivated....scarily so.

Americans just love to buy into the "immigrant who came here with nothing" bullshyt Ellis Island storyline. These people are getting support from their governments at home. The Chinese restaurant hustle is basically assembly line for them at this point.

Look at what they are trying to do in Detroit with the 50 thousand immigrant plan.

I see this shyt in Detroit because I live right outside of da D and own a house in Detroit... There are entire communities in Troy that are indian.. entire Subs that are paki.. lil sections that are Chinese etc......... Business hubs. My girls business is BANGING all because she got in w 1 asian lady.... Those referrals have been so Fierce that she is overwhelmed and wants to hire more people:whew:

Most of me is like :rudy: These fukking Asian are maddddddddddddd accepted by cacs and are so unassuming that they get a pass...
and are still piggy backing off black people struggles- and getting the "minority" pat on the Bootstrap' back... with every single Chinese, Indian, South Asian Government supported action.

But then at the same time - I can't knock the hustle :lupe:

That is idiotic.

Asians are a lot more accepted by white people than black people.

I'm not worried about acceptance as much as I want to see balance in this world. Being from Asia and actually seeing African Americans being suppressed so badly in America just pisses me off. If I had money and power I would definitely do something about it. It's incredible that some white people have the audacity to tell AAs to 'go back to Africa'. What?? You bought these people here and treat em like shyt, now you can't use em for your ill gains anymore you throw em in the bushes? Obviously not all whites are like this but it angers me all the same:manny:

Shame I'm just a poster on the coli :/
i don't have enough certs :troll:

Asians are too concerned with making money to concern themselves with politics. They also identify far more with white people then they ever will with blacks or Hispanics.
They're the only other group to really make as much money as white people on average, so on average they might have a lifestyle more comparable to that of a white person. But it's not necessarily because they're actively choosing to identify with white people, when I'm on college campuses in New York I see tons of Asian people hanging out with black people. And their voting record these last two elections indicates that their mindset is not in line with that of the average cac, even if their wealth is.

Also, many Hispanics identify more with white people than they do with black people anyway.
