If your kid can confidently and property defend himself/herself, you can feel more at ease with them going out and protecting themselves or diffusing a bad situation.

From experience, if a person see’s that you have basic self defense technique, the less likely they will try to test you (unless they have equal technique experience which isn’t common).

I taught all my nieces and nephews how to box at a young age. They not Floyd, but i have first hand knowledge of them knowing how to defend and wash a fukk nikka when needed. Makes me feel better as an uncle. My niece beat a boy ass so bad just by basic boxing that SHE got suspended and didn’t even start it. By the look of old boys face you would think she was the one bullying him.
I taught my lil brother some basics too (he is not a fighter at heart at all). One time he got jumped by a boy at the park, who pinned him down and started punching him on the ground, he told me in this instant he remembered what I taught him :mjcry: got up and started fighting back, holding his own. He was proud of himself and damn was I proud of him :ohlawd:

Good shyt here :wow:

I always wanted to get into boxing. I think ima start getting my cardio up and start training going into next year.

I know how to get into “football” shape but not boxing shape. Any brehs got any weightlifting and cardio tips?

The only thing you can really do to get into Boxing shape is to actually Box. Running, skipping rope, and other cardio exercises are ultra important but what their real purpose is IMO is to ensure you have the stamina to give it your all throughout each round. The more tired you become the less snap you put on the punches, the less you twist your hips and feet into the punch, and other fundamentals...you need to have enough endurance to where that gassing out isn’t something you’re constrained by.

What running and other cardio exercises DON’T DO is hit back and anyone who trains knows that one good ass hit can nullify years of intense cardio. So my advice is to not worry about getting into Boxing shape before getting into Boxing. Get in as soon as you know you can financially and mentally dedicate yourself to learning the art. The one thing you learn in this sport is that it’s nothing but a chess match, a battle of wits, and being smarter can often be an advantage over someone who is naturally gifted.

For some young brehs, this some good boxing technique going on here :whew:

If they wasn't so light in the weight (and clearly just sparring), things would be :whew:

Both would beat 95% of the coli in a fade:whew:

After watching this I feel like the taller dude wasn’t taking advantage of his height and reach. He shouldn’t be trying to slug it out with him...he should be firing out his jab every chance he got to keep him short dude at bay and then have a nice uppercut or hook queued up for when short dude tried to get inside.

He started to do this more towards the end but it was more to conserve energy rather than an actual technique used to break his opponent down.
