I've asked Asian women about this shyt directly. Answers i got. "Asian men are not cool" was a common one.

In reality it's media influence. For a long time media portrayed Asian men as nerds weak and push overs. That image stuck with Asian women in the west. A lot of the Asian women on this wave are western raised. The patriarchy being overbearing is more of an issue with Asian women who have grown up within their communities back home or seen the traditional gender roles in their parents homes.

I dated an Asian girl who basically told me her dad let someone punk her family and she didn't view him as protective. She liked men that make her feel protected.

We as Black people should understand what stereotyping in media does to people more than anyone else. It has a very real effect. Starting with kids. Media is propaganda.
