God damn, that kid has worse luck than me, and I've had horrible luck with cars. At least when my cars broke down on the first day or 2 days later, I only spent 1000, though that was all I had. I didn't have a reliable car until I was 30, but I'm sure he'll get one before then. And you need a car in this country, especially as a member of the male sex. Eh, he's Asian, so I imagine someone in his family will help him out.

Anyway, I suppose this could happen to anyone. Someone could change the plates and vin, and you'd be none the wiser. Buying private can be risky.
