It shouldnt be embarrassing, I don't watch sports and I'm black, you see how that works.

But I wouldn't enter a thread that's based itself on intellectuality and spirituality to just say something wasteful. Could've at least googled a sun tzu quote or something my g.
Indeed I could've :ehh:

When we see men of a contrary character, we should turn inwards and examine ourselves.

-Confucius

To be wronged is nothing unless you continue to remember it.

-Confucius

I think its the subtle things about reflecting towards one character and being observant is the difficult thing to master, also finding a way to look into oneself as well

Back in business, bought a book on Chinese philosophy so now I can post things and we can have daily or weekly discussions based upon what's brought to our attention.

The first one I'll post will be from Confucius.

It reads:

"The master barred four (words); - he would have no 'shall's, no 'must's, no 'certainly's, no 'I's.

What is it about these four words that Confucius didn't seem to like? Were they limiting upon a natural flow of things? A cosmic order? Or were they forceful?

Uncertain grounds
I personally love damn near EVERYTHING from Sun Tzu

Two I live by, specifically in AMERICA is

Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate.

To me, it's the same as the bible saying, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Keep the bragging to yourself.

ive always interpreted that a bit differently

Engage people with what they expect; it is what they are able to discern and confirms their projections. It settles them into predictable patterns of response, occupying their mind

Some people will assume because one is Black that they are poor, stupid or uniformed. Let them, for it behooves me not to change their mind. Let them feel superior, even falsely, for while I strive to better myself and leave a legacy for my kids they will rest on their laurels never once seeing what I have amassed while they slept.

"Dressing down like I'm dirty, but only on the block
it's a clever disguise that keeps me running from the cops"

The 'I' is probably banned because it creates the false experience of a self (or else an overstatement of self-importance)? And the others suggest a questionable sense of a moral or epistemological absolute authority by humans which he might feel is impossible to obtain or even might be inconceivable.
