but the train in that photo is probably only 10 years old, that station is probably maybe 20 years old tops.

and really japan has those barricades up to prevent suicides, not people tossing each other in. The Japanese care more about their fellow citizens than we do here. We shouldn’t need barricades to prevent people from throwing each other in front of trains. It shouldn’t even get that far.
