My local city councilwoman, Cindy bass, actually tried to pass legislation that would push Asian businesses out of the black community in our city. shyt like no bullet proof glass , have to close by 10pm, if you sell blunts and 40s you have to have dining area seating etc…..you know normal residential type laws to keep shady businesses out

Well Asians had protests and called it racist and white allies joined in and the legislation got crushed and trashed
It’s obvious why Asians fought against it, it’s literally the livelihood they use to send their kids to Ivy League schools and fund their retirements back in Korea
But none of the white people could answer why they were so gung-ho to stop the bill when it’s ZERO of these stores in their communities. If it’s so racist why don’t you let the 40 deli open up across from your schools . shyt be so transparently racist it’s wild

That’s literally how white people got into their position. They created laws, and moved goalposts as needed.

Yeah, the zoning laws and code enforcement differ between districts and neighborhoods. That's how and why small mom and pop shops open in poorer neighborhoods.

She basically explained Asians being redlined from opening businesses in white areas, so they’re kinda forced to open them in other minority areas (black specifically) and the get LOANS to do so while black people in the community can’t get the same loans.

Basically, she says Asian Americans have been weaponized against black people in the US and it’s true.
