IT's we out here. I don't know if yall are similar to the IT's in the navy, but we had uor own space called Radio control. We usually just sat there and watched movies on watch because things rarely broke (I was on a new carrier). Also gave me a lot of time to study for my Security+ cert.

I am from California. I was in high school there when prop 209 passed. Again I don't understand why you keep bringing prop 16 up, it's not going to pass, there was no way it would pass, due to the demographics of the voters of California. If you were ACTUALLY from California, and not a transplant, you would know this Black people are already a permanent underclass in California, live your life.

Nah trust me I know it's mostly Cacs and Asians out here. Like I said, it's worth a try given the state of black people in Cali. We're nearly a permanent underclass in a state that is technically the 4th largest economy in the world. That's bad.

I'm the only black person in my neighborhood and the one time I do see a black person they are either homeless or tweaking of drugs mostly because they had no opportunities in life. I'm already going to a top public school in California. This doesn't affect me at all. I just hate being surrounded by Asians nonstop and not seeing anyone that looks like me. I also currently have an intership lined up at a defense contractor company this summer. My shyt rarely gets over looked because I'm a vet who did IT work while I was in the Navy. There's a good chance that I will end up working for the company I'm interning for since they are a defense contractor (they usually hire their interns as well).

the company I work for has clients calling in from Miami all working at this healthcare corporation

If you want me to keep it a buck, our only chance is to get jobs in sectors that pay well (like medicine and tech). Similar to how Asians have done. This allows you to get money circulating. Higher earning black people = more money flowing in our community as more people have money to open small businesses. It also means that our kinds get to grow up in safe environments. They can then study and get good jobs themselves. The problem is that we're kept out of such jobs in the first place. There's a reason why when Immigrants move here, they tell their kids : "you'll become a doctor or an engineer". I understand that ADOS are trying to get white peopl to atone for their sins by giving tangibles, but I honestly think that it will never happen. Especially since Asians and hispanics will say "what about our tangibles as well?".

Honestly.. it might be best for ADOS if AA gets tanked. The biggest beneficiaries seem to be wealthy Caribbeans and Africans and o say this as a Caribbean college grad. We need more programs to help the people at bottom who might be struggling to attend college or build wealth at all.

Sounds like you were more on the signals/comm side of the house. Air force divides their troops into comm or operations, im on the ops side but its really cysec with a heavy focus on network forensics
