It's good to see you progressing and making a living off of it.

I never really jumped all the way in like I told myself I would but I'm satisfied and I bring in side $ doing stuff with the museum, teaching kids photography and whatnot. Being able to grow as an artist without sacrificing your passion for $ is an amazing thing.

Any advice on getting stuff published in some of the indie photo mags and books? How'd you connect with vice?

I watch this video before every shoot.... each time I learn something new

Nice! Nearly three years as a full time artist, I commend you for that. Ive been working professionally for 6 but have been booking my own gigs. How did you find your representation? Signed to an agency or have someone on your team take on the position? Thats the next step im tryna take for 2016...

He bought a piece off me and asked to set up a show for me. It was successful then he asked to rep me. Hes a professional Agent/Manager

U DO THIS FULLTIME??
like as a day to day job?

Day, Night, and Weekend job.
:salute: for making money in the photography hustle. There are so many people in that go nowhere.

One question. How did you do your editing when you first started? Self taught, paid someone?

I just used google to find tutorials until I felt comfortable editing myself. Its all practice and experience. I will say that the more time you spend editing the better the photo will look but there is a trade off on how much time you spend vs how much you are making. Its a delicate thing finding that balance. The best solution is to get everything as perfect as possible in camera.

Have you ever tried one of them 4k resolution cameras? If so, was there a major difference ?

Isnt 4k video? I don't know much about it. I want to eventually start shooting medium format though.

Just get the hassleblad man, you won't regret shooting medium format. I also think you'd love the mamiya 6 or 7.

I haven't posted any work in awhile but I've been messing with slide film and light projection. Velvia in the city is :banderas:

:ehh:

For indi mags and blogs I now have a relationship with a lot of the writers so gigs come easily. I remember meeting the editors of vice at a party then asking them forever to put me on lol. They curbed me. It wasn't until a friend of a friend that was a writer there needed a photographer and we connected. He asked the editors about me and they remembered who I was cause of how annoying it was and they said fine.

Have you seen or experienced things in your course of work that made you extremely uncomfortable?

Was never really into art but i picked up a camera randomly 5 years ago and never looked back.

Been featured in Italian Vogue, Forbes, Complex, Noisey, Fader, Vice, The Source ect, i think ive shot everyone relevant in hip hop. Biggest Clients include Universal Music Group, Sony, and AGO. Been involved in Gallery shows all over the world and had my first solo show this year.

Being a photographer is cool cause you get to see and be around a bunch of cool shyt that would normally be unattainable. You get a spectators view of the madness and since your not really part of it, you keep your sanity and perspective. My job lets me travel the world, have cool experiences, and meet a bunch of people that inspire me if your thinking about getting into it, give it a try it could change ya life.

Any questions

how does it feel to be a fakkit?

Would you ever do staged photography or photographic art of the like?

What do you think about skateboarding photography and photographers? I personally consider them amongst the best photographers in the world.

Who are you influences? Any particular photographers or artists?
